Pork with Oyster Sauce
Serves 2-4
Five in 25
Five Ingredients
1 lb pork loin chops, cut into bite-size pieces
1 T fresh ginger, minced
6-8 oz snow peas (microwaveable bag if possible)
1 cup chicken stock
2 T oyster sauce
From the Pantry
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup + 1 T flour
2 T olive oil
Make sauce by combining the oyster sauce, chicken stock and 1 T flour in a bowl and whisk thoroughly to combine. Cook snow peas in microwave per package directions if you bought the ones in a bag.*
Heat olive oil over medium high heat in a skillet. Toss pork in the flour to coat. Cook pork in the skillet (working in batches if needed) until golden brown and just cooked through, about 2-3 minutes a side.
Add the garlic and ginger to the skillet with the pork. Stir and cook for 1 minute. Add the sauce and bring to a simmer. Add in the steamed snow peas. Season to taste with freshly ground black pepper (and salt, if needed).
Serve immediately with steamed white rice or noodles.
*If you buy loose snow peas, just add them when you add the ginger and garlic. They will be a bit more crunchy but still tasty.
